In most research projects there are some dead ends, some questions that are never answered. This can be extremely frustrating for both researcher and client as it may seem there is no way forward. Yet it does not mean that these blank walls are the end. All that is needed is a little bit of luck…

The following are some of the unsolved leads from current projects. Can YOU shed any light on them?

Mandy Sue – a single screw motor ship built by J H Everton in 1937, completed 1969 and now known as ‘O’Murchu.

Lilian¬†– a steel 30m gentleman’s yacht built in Sweden in 1916, designed by CG Pettersson.¬† Of particular interest is the period from 1923-1926 when she was owned by Mr Herbert Huntly-Gordon of Sandbanks, Dorset and also the years 1926-1935 when she was owned by Rene Bollore of Quimper, France and re-named Dahu II.
